My Style & Approach
I believe therapy provides a safe space for you to explore life's challenges and triumphs. My goal is to support you in gaining self-awareness while empowering you to take steps forward that align with your values and goals.
Recognizing the courage it takes to seek support, I strive to create an accepting and encouraging environment for you to navigate life's complexities. As the expert on your own experience, we will collaboratively develop a customized approach to best serve your needs.
My style is rooted in person-centred and strengths-based principles, meeting you where you are in your personal growth journey. I integrate evidence-based strategies and interventions from narrative, emotion-focused, and family systems therapies to provide comprehensive support and facilitate therapeutic goals
Education, Training, & Professional Development
I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University. Before pursuing my Master’s degree, I attended Trent University and graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I have also received additional training in Mental Health First Aid, Crisis Prevention and De-Escalation, Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk, and various cultural trainings to enhance my ability to provide culturally-responsive support.
Along with my formal education, I have also learned a substantial amount from my time working in the community mental health and addictions field, in which I have had the privilege of supporting individuals in crisis through community linkage and emotional support. I also have valuable experience working with adolescents and transitional-aged youth, in which I have supported them to find their place in the world while navigating academic, family, and personal expectations.
Personal interests
Outside of my work and academic life, I find myself drawn to working on my health and wellness through staying active and engaging in self-care. This often involves getting outside in nature, playing sports, and spending quality time with my loved ones.
