My Style & Approach
We don’t experience life in separate pieces.
Our relationships affect our work. Our work shapes our identity. ADHD influences how we see ourselves. Culture influences our relationships. Mental health weaves through all of it.
I help individuals and couples understand the patterns that connect their relationships, work, identity, neurodivergence, and emotional wellbeing so they can create lives and relationships that feel more authentic.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent several years as a career counsellor supporting people through career transitions, workplace stress, and questions of identity and purpose. Again and again, I saw that people rarely came in with “just” a career concern. Work reflected relationships. Burnout reflected boundaries. Career decisions reflected identity and culture. Combined with my lived experiences as a racialized, queer, neurodivergent person born to immigrants and raised in Canada, this shaped how I understand people’s stories today.
In therapy, we’ll begin noticing the patterns that quietly shape your life. Maybe perfectionism keeps you overworking, ADHD leaves you questioning your abilities, or cultural expectations make it difficult to set boundaries. Rather than asking “What’s wrong with you?”, we’ll ask “How did this pattern make sense?” Together, we’ll decide which parts of these patterns still serve you and which you’re ready to change. To support this work, I integrate evidence- informed approaches including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and somatic practices, selecting interventions based on your goals rather than following a one-size-fits-all model.
I have a particular interest in supporting adults exploring or recently diagnosed with ADHD. Beyond practical strategies, therapy becomes a place to make sense of years of masking, self-criticism, grief, relief, and identity shifts that often accompany seeing yourself through a new lens.
For couples, I work primarily from an Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) framework. Many couples arrive feeling stuck in the same arguments despite deeply caring about one another. Together, we slow those interactions down to understand the emotions and attachment needs beneath them, helping create greater emotional safety, strengthen communication, and rebuild connection. My work also incorporates somatic practices and a culturally responsive lens, recognizing that every relationship is shaped by each partner’s family, culture, identity, and lived experiences. Through this work, couples often develop a deeper understanding of one another, strengthen emotional safety, and begin responding to each other from connection rather than protection.
Education, Training, & Professional Development
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, a Bachelor of Commerce from Toronto Metropolitan University, and a Certificate in Career Development and Academic Advising from the University of Calgary. My professional journey spans career counselling, psychotherapy, nonprofit work, and over a decade in corporate leadership. Together, these experiences continue to shape how I understand identity, work, relationships, and change.
Personal interests
Outside of the therapy room, I’m a self-described forever student. I enjoy cooking new recipes while podcasts play in the background, tending to my growing collection of houseplants, watching anime, spending time in nature, and being thoroughly supervised by my cat. I’m passionate about community care, lifelong learning, and creating spaces where people feel they can show up fully as themselves.
