My Style & Approach

Welcome to a space dedicated to your personal growth. I am happy you have stumbled across my profile and proud of you for taking this courageous step because you matter. In my eyes, therapy is a gentle journey for the soul. It's not only about confronting our fears; it's also about softly embracing the chance to understand and love ourselves on a deeper level. Through my own journey of self-discovery, I’ve come to understand that we have the ability to shape our actions and reactions in any situation. We can steer our lives in the direction we want, though sometimes an encouraging prompt is helpful in unlocking our full potential and moving forward. In my work, I cherish creating a safe, non-judgmental space where we can explore life's complexities together. I strive to make you feel heard, seen and understood as there is strength in vulnerability. I embrace a holistic approach to mental health and wellness, guided by the belief that each person has everything within themselves to align with their true, authentic self.

As both a consumer and provider of mental health care, I understand the bravery it takes to seek support and value the comfort of having a compassionate ally by your side. I see therapy as a collaborative partnership between client and therapist. We will work together to customize an approach that meets your individual needs and goals as therapy is not “one-size-fits-all”. I deeply respect the fact that you know yourself best and am committed to meeting you where you are. I use a range of evidence-based techniques to help you build healthier coping strategies and achieve positive change. Together, we can tackle the challenges you encounter, identify your strengths, and strive to create a life that resonates with your values and ideals.

Education, Training, & Professional Development

I hold a Master of Arts in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy from Wilfrid Laurier University, as well as an honours bachelor's degree in Psychology from Toronto Metropolitan University. I am deeply committed to integrating this academic foundation with compassionate, client-centred care.

I possess over 8 years of experience supporting individuals ranging in age from 3 to 70 years old who are living with mental health challenges, across both healthcare and educational settings. In addition to my therapeutic work, I also serve as an ADHD and Executive Function Coach. In this role, I support clients in deepening their understanding of how they function best, improving organization and time management, and developing strategies that align with their strengths and aspirations.

My approach is integrative, using psychological frameworks to help individuals reach their therapeutic goals and improve overall well-being. I am certified in Mental Health First Aid and Sexual Violence Response. Throughout therapy, I draw from a range of evidence-based methods including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Person-Centred Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). I tailor the approach to fit your unique needs.

Personal interests

I love spending quality time with my family, friends, and sweet dogs Lyla and Hailey. I find true happiness in the small pleasures of life, like strolling through neighbourhoods to appreciate their unique architecture or enjoying a perfectly crafted latte at a cozy cafe. I prioritize self-care through staying active and meditation. I have a passion for travelling the world with my partner. In particular, I love exploring oceanfront locations as I feel most at ease when swimming or simply being by the water.
