Education, Training, & professional development
I am a graduate of the Forensic Psychology program at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT), granting me the privilege of studying a variety of topics surrounding psychology, sociology, and the criminal justice system. In January of 2018, I completed my final semester with my practicum placement at New Roots Therapy, and have been working here since. I began just continuing to volunteer my time, and continued to progress from part-time work to a now full time position as a Client Care Specialist. I am planning to return to school this September 2019 by partaking in an online graduate diploma in Tactical Criminal Analysis in order to supplement my undergraduate degree. I hope the analysis and problem solving skills I learn there will also help improve my work with New Roots Therapy!
MY STYLE & APPROACH WITH CLIENTS
My goal as a Client Care Specialist is to always make the process of seeking out any of the services we offer the best experience possible. Never hesitate to reach out, I am always happy to help guide you in the right direction, and listen with an open mind. If you have a concern that you would like to talk about, please give us a call! I will answer any initial questions that you have about our services and will help you schedule your first appointment with one of the therapists or other wellness practitioners on our team.
In my free time I am often doing different activities such as reading, watching shows or movies online, or listening to music. I like making the drive to Tweed to spend time with my family at the cottage, whether we are tubing behind a boat or sitting around the campfire. Although I do like my home time, I love travelling and want to visit as many places as I am able to in my lifetime.
