Education, Training, & professional development
As a graduate of the Forensic Psychology program at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT), I have studied many different areas of psychology and human behaviour. During my time as a student at UOIT, I also completed dozens of case studies involving individuals, couples, and families experiencing mental health and addiction concerns.
In September 2014, during my final year of studies, I began a practicum placement at New Roots Therapy and have been working here ever since! Over time, my role here has evolved and I am now the clinic's full-time Client Care Specialist.
MY STYLE & APPROACH WITH CLIENTS
I approach every client with an open mind and an open heart. There is no concern too big or too small, and I am always willing to go the extra mile to help guide clients in the right direction. If you have a concern that you would like to talk about, please give me call - I am all ears! I will answer any initial questions that you have about our services and will help you schedule your first appointment with one of the therapists or other wellness practitioners on our team.
I have a dog named Spike that I love to watch Netflix with on the weekends and play Frisbee with in the backyard. I enjoy video games! In particular, I love playing Mario Cart and Super Smash Bros. with my friends and room-mates, even though I’m not the greatest :) I enjoy singing loudly in the car and taking long drives, especially to my home town up north. I also love comedy! Making people smile and laugh is one of my greatest joys.
