Nicole McCance Psychology
Nominated, RBC Women Entrepreneur of the Year, Nicole McCance (M.A., C.Psych.) is a fully licensed Psychologist. Her services are covered under extended health care and she is licensed to diagnose mental disorders. Nicole is also an author of the book 50 Ways to Beat Depression Naturally. New Roots Therapy works in collaboration with Nicole McCance Psychology, under the direct supervision of Nicole McCance (Registered Psychologist); as such, our counselling services are covered under most benefit plans under the provision for Psychological care. She has over 9 years of formal university education and is currently completing a certificate program from Harvard Medical School. She is also completing her Ph.D in Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto. She has a M.A in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto, a B.A. in Criminology and a B.A with Honours in Psychology from Carleton University.
Nicole owns Nicole McCance Psychology, which has over 10 counselling locations providing both individual and couples counseling across the GTA. Over 120 individuals and couples receive counselling every month through Nicole McCance Psychology. Nicole is also a frequent contributor to media outlets such as CP24, CTV News, CTV National, Global TV, CBC News, Rogers, CBC Radio, the Toronto Star and Canadian Living. She writes a weekly blog, and a weekly wellness column for Eligible Magazine. She is also the Relationship Expert on Season 2 of the Cosmo TV show Love Trap.
New Roots Therapy also works in collaboration with Mills Psychology under the direct clinical supervision of Dr. Jon Mills, Registered Psychologist. Brittany Sirtonski Counselling and Psychotherapy Services
As a counsellor and expressive arts practitioner in private practice, Brittany works with children, adolescents, adults and families. Her practice is located in Whitby, Ontario and serves clients in the surrounding Durham region. Much of Brittany’s work focuses on child and adolescent issues.
Unique to her practice, Brittany utilizes expressive arts in her counselling work with clients. By applying a creative approach to treatment, clients have the opportunity to engage in counselling in a more sensory, ‘whole-brain’ manner, compared to traditional talk therapy. Additionally, Brittany facilitates therapeutic workshops and individual expressive arts sessions to diverse clientele interested in pursuing creativity, positivity, healing, and individual transformation.
Laura Apps (Women's Health Physiotherapy)
Laura Apps is a Registered Physiotherapist with a special interest in Women's Health. Laura's approach with her clients is compassionate and empowering. Her services can help women with concerns such as incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, and prenatal/postpartum care. Jennifer Pepper Therapy
Jennifer Pepper is a relationship therapist offering services to families, couples, and individuals. Her private practice serves North and Central Wellington and is located at Fergus Family Counselling. Jennifer has been trained to work with people on a variety of challenges or concerns. Relying on empathy and compassion, she provides a safe space where people can risk facing the issues that prevent them from experiencing peace and resolution in their lives.
